CDs and DVDs
have taken over this generation. These have been used for storing movies and
other data like photos or other backup. CDs were first invented by Philips and in
1982. They had been initially invented for music but later since then, it is
used for all other information storage too. CDs that were made in the factories
had screen-printed stickers on them.
However, since the 1990s, there has been a need to identify the type of content
saved in them because of the increasing fame of recordable CDs. For this
purpose, discs have cards or stickers
to identify its content. But if wholesale
discs are bought in bulk with separate cases, there are no cards or stickers
but the discs need to be labeled still.
